Welcome to the 2021 DMV Horn Academy Summer Seminar!
Our 2021 Summer Seminar Faculty are current and former members of Canadian Brass, Boston Brass, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, New World Symphony, Sphinx Symphony, American Studio Orchestra, Lyric Brass Quintet, Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, and are current or former faculty members at Washington Adventist University, Peabody Conservatory, Arizona State University, Florida International University, and Folly Quarter Middle School.
The 2021 DMV Brass Academy (DMVHA) Summer Seminar will be held virtually through Zoom Video Conferencing and will feature 4 outstanding Faculty Artists:

Private Lessons
M-F
All participants will receive three (45-minute) private lessons with Larry Williams. Lesson scheduels will be confirmed prior to the start of the seminar.
SESSION DESCRIPTIONS
WARM UP & FUNDAMENTALS (M-W)
Each day starts off with a warm up session led by our faculty. Participants will warm up alongside them while discussing warm up routines and fundamentals.
DAILY MASTERCLASS (M-W)
From playing techniques to audition preparation and repertoire coaching, our faculty masterclasses will focus on all aspects of horn playing: performance, artistry, mental focus, and other topics.
WORKSHOPS & BREAKOUT SESSIONS (M-W)
Each day, our faculty will lead group conversations on a variety of topics, including: Mental Focus, Auditions, Careers, Marketing, Communication Skills, and more. Small groups will be formed and coached by our faculty to find creative and fun solutions to challenges, and then present their solutions to the rest of the attendees.
PRIVATE LESSONS (M-F)
All participants will receive 3 (45 minute) private lessons with Larry Williams during the seminar. Lessons will be scheduled in the afternoon/evenings M-F. Specific lesson days and times will be confirmed prior to the beginning of the seminar.

DCPS Student Scholarships:
